FPC has recently completed Client-side Strategic Commissioning Services for S2, the ‘first of its kind’ Digital (Smart) Building for Deepmind. We acted as strategic partner to Deepmind, providing comprehensive services that included project visioning, commissioning, IoT infrastructure design, energy and on-going performance verification into operations. This building is over 200k sqft of commercial office space with high quality Cat B fit-out, including restaurant, auditorium and events spaces.

The focus for Digital Buildings is to unlock the data flow potential within devices, to enable transmission to the Cloud, which then allows intelligent analytics to take place. This may take the form of several types of focus, whether it be to better understand how your building is operating through paths such as FDD (Fault Detection Diagnosis), to allow an enriched user experience for building occupants in the form of useful information at the fingertip, or to develop tailored API’s with the help of machine learning technology which takes this data as inputs to calculate interesting outcomes for action that was not possible only a few years ago.

FPC integrates into the IT/IoT process of qualifying devices for cyber security and data transmission requirements for the project design phase, but has a view holistically in system design, end-to-end, to ensure the best outcomes for clients are achieved.
