At Facility Performance Consulting, we are committed to promoting sustainable building practices and reducing our and our clients’ impact on the environment. As such, we're thrilled to announce that our Building Performance Services Division’s Tom Wood has become NABERS UK qualified. With Tom's new qualification, we're proud to say that FPC has further cemented our position at the forefront of sustainability in the built environment.
NABERS (the National Australian Built Environment Rating System) is a leading rating system that has been in use in Australia since 1999 and was adapted for use in the UK in 2020. The scheme operates on the principle that “What gets measured gets managed”, and in Australia, return customers have reduced their energy use by an average of 30-40% over a 10 year period.
Tom’s qualification enables FPC to quantitatively assess and rate the performance of Office base build systems, individual tenancies or entire buildings against others in the UK on a level playing field, normalised against usage, area and occupancy data.
When paired with FPC Building Performance Services’ already proven insight into sustainable building principles and operating practices, we are not limited to providing buildings or tenancies with a 1 to 6 star NABERS rating; we can also provide expert advice on how to lower energy usage, create a healthier indoor environment and reduce our clients’ carbon footprint thereby improving their rating over time.
By partnering with FPC’s NABERS UK qualified professionals like Tom, our clients can be assured that their buildings are being operated with the utmost consideration for the environment.
Congratulations to Tom on this achievement! We're excited to see the positive impact he will have on our company and the built environment as a whole.
